Each of us, in some way, has been touched by cancer. We
at Missouri Cancer Care, begin each day with an acute
awareness of our responsibility to provide our patients
access to the best care available in the diagnosis and
treatment of cancer. A big part of that care includes
access to clinical trials. We seek out new knowledge so
that effective treatments can get to our patients as quickly
as possible. Missouri Cancer Care is committed to continuing
efforts to reduce the burden of cancer through scientific
discovery and its application to people.
Our Kisker Road location has recently welcomed Dr. Aislinn
Vaughan, Fellowship-trained Breast Surgeon, to the H.W.
Koenig Cancer Center. With the addition of Dr. Vaughan
we will soon be offering patients access to clinical trial
treatment options before they have surgery for breast
cancer (this type of treatment is called neoadjuvant).
Many of the trials we offer are approved and funded through
the National Cancer Institute (NCI). We currently have
open clinical trials in the following areas:
Breast Cancer
Advanced Colon Cancer
Lung Cancer Prevention
Early Stage Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
Advanced Small Cell Lung Cancer
If you would like more information about the clinical
trials available at Missouri Cancer Care, or would like
to ask a general question about cancer research, please
don’t hesitate to contact us.
