Our oncologists have been trained at some of the

Many have been awarded fellowships — additional
training in advanced cancer care techniques. Some
have been university teachers or cancer researchers.

professional, peer-reviewed publications. All, however,

A Team Approach
Ours is a team approach of highly trained and skilled
cancer physicians called oncologists.
Medical oncologists prescribe chemotherapy.
Some medical
oncologists are also hematologists; they diagnose
and
treat cancerous and non-cancerous blood disorders.
In
fact, many patients who come to Missouri Cancer
Care for hematological conditions do not have cancer
but
benefit from the expertise provided.
We also have radiation oncologists. They design
treatment
plans involving the delivery of radiation to the
tumor.
Missouri Cancer Care has specialists in all three
areas.
Although one oncologist will coordinate your treatment
plan, several may collaborate in its development.
As
a result, your treatment will reflect their collective
expertise and an agreed-upon strategy unique to
