Dr. Beattie is a medical oncologist who joined Missouri
Cancer  Care
in 2003.
Dr. Beattie graduated from Des Moines University with
a degree in osteopathic medicine. He served his residency
at the University of Iowa (Des Moines) where he was
named as its most outstanding resident educator. He
subsequently completed a fellowship in medical oncology
at St. Louis University.
An accomplished speaker, Dr. Beattie has delivered
presentations on mesothelioma, small-cell and non small-cell
lung malignancies. He is a faculty member of the National
Small Group Workship on Lung Cancer and member of the
speaker’s bureau for Pharmacia Oncology. He also
sits on the scientific advisory committee of the Network
for Oncology Communication and Research.
His areas of professional interest include thoracic
(chest) oncology — specifically neoadjuvant therapy,
CT screening and tobacco control.
Dr. Beattie was born in St. Louis but raised Wentzville,
Missouri.
